In Year 1614, 5 April famous Native American Pocahontas marries English colonist and tobacco planter John Rolfe. Pocahontas was brought to Europe by her husband and became a celebrity. Her story has been retold and romanticized over the passing years.

In Year 1722, 5 April famous Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen discovered the Easter Islands who were named like that because he landed there on Easter day. He set sails to explore and find hypothetical continent Terra Australis. But instead of continent he discovered Easter Island.

In Year 1874, 5 April was open Birkenhead Park. The park was the first civic public park, designed by Joseph Paxton an English gardener and architect and the man who cultivated Cavendish banana, which is the most consumed banana in the world.
