In year 837, 10 April on her approach to Earth Halley’s Comet is at closest distance of 0.0342 AU or 5.1 million kilometers. Halley’s Comet is a short period comet that is visible from Earth only 75 -76 years.

In year 1858, 10 April new bell was recast for the Big Ban in London, at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry as 13.76 ton bell. The original bell was 16 ton cast in Stockton-on-Tees by John Warner & Sons, but cracked beyond repair and had to be replaced.

In year 1912, 4 April RMS Titanic left Southampton, England to New York on her first and only voyage. The ship sank on 15 April, after hitting an iceberg, from the 2,224 passengers and crew abroad, more than 1500 died.
